Any serious gamer does a purpose-build - including a heavy-weight graphics card, which Macs do not (yet) allow for the best options - rumoured to be on the way. My point was that certain applications might run better on say, VMWare than on Parallels - but the difference may not be enough to notice in normal working situations - and who can say what variety of applications, plus plug-ins and extensions, font management, mix of fonts, etc., might be used by any individual?
